7 Wonders Duel
"Draft cards and build a civilization in this tight two-player showdown."
Setup
Place the board showing the 3 eras (I, II, III). Each player takes a wonder board (4 wonders to choose from). Shuffle the age decks (I, II, III separately). Remove 3 cards from Age III (chosen randomly). Place the military track (with conflict tokens) and science tokens. Each player starts with 7 coins.
How to Play
- The game has 3 ages. Set up Age I cards in a pyramid: 6 cards face-down in row 3, 5 cards in row 2, 4 cards in row
- On your turn, take one card from the pyramid that is 'exposed' (no cards covering it on either side).
- After taking a card, you can either: build it (pay its cost, add to your city), discard for 2 coins, or use it to build a wonder (pay its cost, place it under your wonder board).
- Some cards give military power (red shields). Push the military marker toward your opponent. If it reaches the end of the track, you win immediately.
- Some cards give science symbols (green). If you collect 6 different symbols, you win immediately.
- Some cards give resources (brown/grey), commerce (yellow), or guilds (purple, end-game points).
- After Age I, set up Age II pyramid, then Age III.
Winning the Game
The game ends immediately if a player wins by military (reach opponent's capital) or science (6 symbols). Otherwise, after Age III, add points from: wonders (built), guild cards, yellow cards, and leftover coins (1 coin = 1 point). The player with the most points wins.
