Catan

Place the board hexes randomly to form an island. Put the number tokens on each hex. Each player places two roads and two settlements: one on a corner where two roads meet.

1. Roll both dice to see which hex produces resources.
2. If you have a settlement or city next to that hex, take one resource card for each settlement (two for a city).
3. You can trade resources with other players or with the bank (4:1 same resource).
4. Spend resources to build roads, settlements, cities, or buy development cards.
5. The robber blocks production on one hex when you roll a 7.

First player to reach 10 Victory Points wins. You get points for settlements (1), cities (2), longest road (2), largest army (2), and some development cards.

Seafarers expansion adds ships and islands. Frenemies variant adds friendly trading rules.
