Setup
Shuffle the deck of 50 cards (5 colors: red, blue, green, yellow, white, each with numbers 1-5, and multiple copies). Deal 4 cards to each player (2-3 players) or 5 cards (4-5 players). Players hold their cards facing outward (so they cannot see their own cards, but others can). Place the 5 fuse tokens and 8 clue tokens.
How to Play
- On your turn, you must take one action: give a clue (spend 1 clue token), discard a card (gain 1 clue token), or play a card (try to add it to the fireworks).
- Clue: tell another player either all cards of a specific number (e.g., 'You have three 2s') or all cards of a specific color (e.g., 'You have two blue cards').
- Play a card: place it face-up on the table. If it's the next number in that color's firework (starting at 1), it's successful. If not, it's a mistake (lose 1 fuse token).
- Discard a card: place it in the discard pile and draw a new card. Gain 1 clue token.
- When a color's firework reaches 5, that color is complete (and you gain a clue token).
- The game ends when the deck runs out, the fuse runs out (5 mistakes), or players choose to end.
- Players can talk but cannot say exactly what is in their hand (must use clues).
Winning the Game
Score 1 point for each card successfully played on a firework (max 25 points, 5 per color). The team's score is the total. Fuse tokens lost reduce the score? No, fuse ends the game. The team wins if they get 25 points. Otherwise, they lose.
