Back to Game Library

Setup

Place the camel token board. Shuffle the 55 goods cards (camels, diamonds, gold, silver, cloth, spices, leather). Deal 3 cards to each player (these start in hand). Place 5 cards face-up in the market. The remaining deck is the draw pile. Each player also gets 2 camel tokens (for the herd).

How to Play

  1. On your turn, you must either: take goods from the market, or sell goods to the market.
  2. Taking: take all cards of one type from the market (e.g., all diamonds) OR take one camel (the camel card becomes a token in your herd, and you replace the market card from the deck).
  3. Selling: choose one or more cards of the same type from your hand (minimum 2) and sell them. You get a token from the matching good's pile (higher-value tokens for larger sets or rarer goods).
  4. Camels are never sold; they are used to take more cards from the market.
  5. After each sale, replace the sold cards from the deck.
  6. The round ends when the draw pile is empty three times in a row or when all three of a good's bonus tokens are taken.

Winning the Game

Each good has tokens with different values (e.g., diamonds: 5,4,3,2,1). At the end of the round, add your token values. The player with more camels gets the camel bonus token (5 points). The first player to win 2 rounds wins the game.
